This is a supersprint triathlon, which means the distances are shorter. I did this event two years ago and had a really great time. It is on August 24th in Chicago. The distances are as follows: 375 meter Swim/10K Bike and 2.5 K Run. I liked this event because they have "heats" so you cannot really tell who is in what place. So, if you are like me and swim like a rock nobody will know it! There are also a wide range of abilities. Some people were super serious and others were just having fun. I think I am going to try it again this year!

I'm hesitant to let too many people know about this for selfish reasons. :) On Saturday, 4/5/08 from 10-4, at State Fair Park in the Wisconsin Products Pavilion, Pick'n Save is putting on "Get Fit For Life." I went last year and it was great! It costs $5 and you get a coupon book and samples galore. There will be cooking demonstrations, Greg Jennings (Packers Wide Receiver) and another Packer I had never heard of before will be signing autographs. Last year I left with 2 large grocery bags of samples and organic fruits and vegetables. (If you ask a vendor about a particular kind of product, they will usually just give you one to try at home. Just a tip. :) ) I said before I didn't want too many people to know because last year I won a nice gas grill from their raffle. Which means the fewer people that go the better my chances are of winning something this year and the more samples for me! :) But seriously, it is fun and my kids had a blast! Come out and try some of the healthy food that Pcik'n Save has to offer!

Half-marathon - Inga that is GREAT! Have you ever done one before? Do you ever need a running partner after school or on the weekends, you can call me.

I went to the Pick n' Save event last year too. I even got free healthy chocolate! Who can complain about that? It's definitely a great way to spend a Saturday...well worth it to get new products and try them for free.

That PnS thing sounds like fun. I am going to try to make it.

For my health and spirit, I like to go birding. I never tire of it and it is free. Karen and I will attempt the first of many birding sessions on the 12th. Get out into the outdoors, learn about birds and exercise.
